Milestones

Sempai Simon Leonard completes the final stage of his Nidan (2nd Dan) grading, the bulk of his 2nd Dan grading was done on the 22nd of April, which consisted of 30 x 2min rounds of sparring against fresh opponents each round. Matthew and Susan from the Para Vista dojo complete their Brown Black Stripe grading, which is the last of the junior color belt gradings, they are the 3rd and 4th students to complete the syllabus in its entirety since Makoto Ryu was founded. Matthew and Susan's next step is Junior Shodan-Ho (Black Belt). Fallon Hooper from Para Vista Dojo, was promoted to Sempai (Instructor), Fallon continually helps out in the kids class and has influenced many of the kids over the years. Robert Leonard from the Para Vista Dojo receives his IAOMAS (International Alliance of Martial Arts Schools) student honor role certificate.
